All parts are pre-cut for you to the final dimensions. Use a tape measure or ruler to identify each piece and construct as shown in the photos which are located on the customer instructions page located here: Product Instructions. You will need to use a T-50 stapler, nails, screws, hammer, glue and possibly other tools. If you purchase unassembled products from us it is assumed you have enough woodworking experience to complete the project. There is no warranty on unassembled products which you attempt to construct and damage in the process. You may return the product to us, and for an additional $5.00 we will construct the item for you should you find it too difficult. You are required to pay shipping both to us and back if you wish to use this service.
You are billed at the time of purchase for your items. Once shipping has been verified you will either be charged the remainder or refunded the balance of what remains of the $15 flat rate depending on whether shipping was more or less than $15.
Do to the large variance in shipping costs we charge a $15.00 shipping deposit at the time of purchase and the remainder, if any, once shipped. If the initial $15 shipping charge is more than your actual shipping we refund the difference.
Why do we do this?
The size of your package varies greatly depending on whether you purchase your products assembled (larger dimensions) or unassembled (smaller dimensions). You will be contacted by phone or email within 24 hours of your purchase with a shipping quote (except on UPS holidays and Sundays) in which case you will be contacted on the first day after your order that UPS is open for business. At that time you will be charged for the difference in the $15 shipping pre-pay and the actual shipping total. We attempt to get you the least costly shipping method based on your package dimensions and weight. We use UPS exclusively for shipping. Funny Bug Bees is not responsible for damage during shipment. If you wish to have the items you purchase insured for shipping, please inform us in the "Add comments about your order" box on step 4 of the checkout process.
Order Lead Time
We try to keep a supply of all products in stock. However, sometimes, due to a high number of incoming orders, we must craft some products for some orders as they come in. This can cause a lead time of up to 72 hours depending on the size of the order before it ships. If your order will take more than 24 hours to ship, you will be notified via email.
We offer a 100% money-back 30-day guarantee on all orders placed on our website or purchased in person at our location, with the exception of unassembled products you ordered, tried to construct and damaged. If you are not satisfied you will receive a complete refund minus the shipping fees. You are responsible for return shipping to return the item to us. **You pay shipping cost in both directions if you wish to obtain a refund for your purchase**. Items must be in new, unused condition to be eligible for a refund. Items returned used, or not in new condition will be held for you to arrange for shipping back to you or for you to pick up at our store. You will not receive a refund for those items.
Defects in workmanship
Most orders over $175 will ship free of charge. Exceptions to this are as follows:
- Orders requiring more than one large box. In the case of an order requiring multiple large boxes we will pay the shipping cost of the first container only and only up to a total of $40.
- On orders in a single box, with a total shipping cost of over $40 in UPS fees, Funny Bug will cover the first $40 and the remaining balance will be split 50/50 with the customer.
